Elena Gavagnin

Elena Gavagnin is co-Head of the Information Systems and Technologies group
at the Institute of Business Information Technology at ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences, and a senior lecturer in Data Science and Machine Learning. She has a background in astrophysics and holds a PhD in Computational Sciences from the University of Zurich. Her research focuses on multimodal artificial intelligence, with a particular emphasis on enhancing visual comprehension and human textual communication. She is affiliated with the ZHAW Centre for Artificial Intelligence and serves as a board member of the SKACH Consortium.
