8. March 2023

We are very happy to organize this First Workshop on “Best Practices to Establish a Gaming Research Center” in the Series GRC (Game Research Center)! The workshop is open also for non-members and starts at 09:30 at the Event Room of the DSI (Rämistrasse 69, first floor)! We also have the possibility to stream via Zoom, please contact us (see below) if you want to join online!

The DSI Community Gaming has received generous funding for its activities by the DSI Board with the long-term goal of establishing an overarching structure for pursuing its topic. This coincides with our vision to establish a Game Research Center in the near future.

This first workshop “Best Practices to Establish a Gaming Research Center” (in a series of events pursuing the creation of a  “Gaming Research Center”, GRC) is organized with the purpose to exchange knowledge on how to establish and manage a lab/research center in general and to create a fruitful collaborative synergy with the existing centers and labs. Throughout the workshop (please refer to a detailed schedule below) the participating labs will be introduced and there will be the opportunity to tackle the most prominent issues and furthermore discover the main objectives for synergies.
